  2. Nice! Since I war born in Indonesia, the wax-resist designs look familiar to me. This fabric - depending on the design can range between $5 and $500 a yard!

  3. It is very beautiful and you did a great job picking up all that detail in your image. I love batik too.. my first trip out of Australia was Indonesia, in the 70s - and I still have pieces of batik. I also found the batik tablecloth I brought back for my mother - last year when we were getting the house ready for sale. Actually, I became quite addicted to batik for a while.. I used to teach it to high school students - we didn't know then how nasty those napthol dyes were :( Thanks for sharing with Mandarin Orange Monday:)
