DESKTOP 2619 - BUTTERCUPS

Buttercups

Your sun-yellow light,
It shines so bright!
Buttercup, buttercup,
I'll gather you up
And put you in a jar,
To light up my night!

DESKTOP 2349 - SUMMERFIELD REVISITED

Summerfield

On a perfect Summer's day
Walking on a fresh green field,
Making memories warm and bright
For a cold and dismal Winter's night.

On a Summerfield my merry fay,
With a kiss a promise sealed:
Lips that savoured cool sweet wine,
Now in Winter's tears taste brine.

Oh to be in Summerfield again,
'Neath blue sky on verdant grass,
Clasping hands and heart alight
How we'd love, all sense delight...

But instead in Winter's bane
I look in frozen looking glass:
Wrinkles, white hair, all decline,
And for Summerfield I long and pine.

DESKTOP 2347 - TYGER

The Tyger
By William Blake

Tyger Tyger, burning bright,
In the forests of the night;
What immortal hand or eye,
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?

In what distant deeps or skies
Burnt the fire of thine eyes?
On what wings dare he aspire?
What the hand, dare seize the fire?

And what shoulder, & what art,
Could twist the sinews of thy heart?
And when thy heart began to beat,
What dread hand & what dread feet?

What the hammer, what the chain,
In what furnace was thy brain?
What the anvil, what dread grasp,
Dare its deadly terrors clasp!

When the stars threw down their spears
And water'd heaven with their tears:
Did he smile his work to see?
Did he who made the Lamb make thee?

Tyger Tyger burning bright,
In the forests of the night:
What immortal hand or eye,
Dare frame thy fearful symmetry?

DESKTOP 1981 - SUNRING

When out you walk on grassy field
Your eyes keep open, keep them peeled
For Sunring may you espy.
God's angels came down from high above
And walkéd there with joy, with love,
To bring news of the sky.

O, Sunring gold; O, Sunring round
Mine is good luck, fortune I've found!
